The Tor Project has released Tor Browser 10.0 to align with the latest Firefox ESR version, Mozilla’s enterprise version of the browser.
Mozilla Firefox ESR (Extended Support Release) is an enterprise version of Firefox that is designed for stability and security in large organizations. As ESR builds focuses on an enterprise environment, they do not get updated as often to ensure stability, but receive all the latest security updates, so businesses are protected.
As the Tor Browser utilizes a customized version of Firefox ESR when a new ESR version is released, the Tor Project releases a new version.

With Firefox 78.3esr released yesterday, September 22nd, 2020, Tor Browser 10.0 was released to align with that version.
There are no new features added to the Tor Browser with this release, and it is mostly a bug fix.
