Windows 10 Cumulative Updates KB4586786 & KB4586781 Released
It’s November 10 and Patch Tuesday, and the first batch of security updates or ‘B’ updates are now available for all supported versions of Windows 10 including version 20H2.
If you want to grab these updates, check for updates in the Settings and the update will begin installing. If you don’t want to grab these fixes, make sure that you hit the pause button. This is because Patch Tuesday cumulative updates are downloaded and installed automatically when you try to ignore them but don’t hit the pause optional.
Like every Patch Tuesday release, the cumulative update comes with security fixes and general bug fixes, and the patch is rolling out to PCs with May 2020 Update, November 2019 Update, May 2019 Update and later.

- Windows 10 version 1607 — KB4586830 (OS Build 14393.4046)

- Windows 10 version 1809 — KB4586793 (OS Build 17763.1577)
- Windows 10 version 1903/1909 — KB4586786 (OS Builds 18362.1198 and 18363.1198)
- Windows 10 version 2004 and 20H2 — KB4586781 (OS Builds 19041.630 and 19042.630)

The cumulative update for Windows 10, version 2004 and 20H2 is KB 4586781Â and it comes with these fixes:
- Updates to improve security when using Microsoft Office products.
- Updates to improve security when Windows performs basic operations.
- Updates the 2020 DST start date for the Fiji Islands to December 20, 2020.
- Security updates to the Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows Input and Composition, Microsoft Graphics Component, the Windows Wallet Service, Windows Fundamentals, and the Windows Kernel.

| System and user certificates might be lost when updating a device from Windows 10, version 1809 or later to a later version of Windows 10. Devices will only be impacted if they have already installed any Latest cumulative update (LCU) released September 16, 2020 or later and then proceed to update to a later version of Windows 10 from media or an installation source which does not have an LCU released October 13, 2020 or later integrated. This primarily happens when managed devices are updated using outdated bundles or media through an update management tool such as Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager. This might also happen when using outdated physical media or ISO images that do not have the latest updates integrated.Note Devices using Windows Update for Business or that connect directly to Windows Update are not impacted. The cumulative update for Windows 10, version 1903 and 1909 is 18362.1198 and 18363.1198 respectively. It comes with these fixes:

- Updates to improve security when using input devices such as a mouse, keyboard, or pen.
- Updates to improve security when Windows performs basic operations.
- Addresses an issue with the package frame launcher (PSF) that passes a malformed parameter to a shim.Â
